Shift Leader

Responsibilities:
 

  • Ability to perform any job in the restaurant.
  • Understands all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
  • Has valid Food Manager certification according to Fairfax County requirements.
  • Manages and represents front of house during peak hours.
  • Ensures that all employees adhere to all company policies and high standards of quality control, hygiene, health, and safety. 
  • Manages waste in both front of house and back of house. 
  • Prepares and maintains cash drawers throughout a shift.
  • Manage the deposit of cash in the designated bank.
  • Inspects vendor deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality, reporting any discrepancies to the store manager.
  • Works with manager to adjust daily pars to meet the changing demand for each day. 
  • Supervises completion of daily cleaning tasks.
  • Train and coach new team members.
  • Maintain training with existing team members.
  • Monitors labor percentages throughout the shift.
  • Assists in PM inventory count.
  • Assists in taking catering orders.
  • Supervises preparation of catering orders.
  • Submits AM and PM shift reports.
  • Helps in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
