Chicka Loka located at the Pan Am shoppjng center is Extraordinary! I booked them for an event and they did not dissapoint. Food was delivered perfectly on time and all the guests were raging about the food! Guests took home all the delicious left overs (I always over order food! 😅). Charcoal chicken, sweet plantain, fried rice, rice and beans, white rice and stewed beans were amongst my guests favorite dishes. The whole team that works there including the owner, chef and staff are courteous and lovely.Do not hesitate twice to cater them for your event or just take out when you don’t want to cook! DELISH!
another (!!) affordable Vienna spot with high quality meals that are simple and affordable ($12). the picture speaks for itself.I'd come here for the food, not the service or the atmosphere although it's spotless inside. this business looks to be primarily focused on online orders and catering. an example of this is the lack of bar seating. looks like they placed plants in the window for pickup drivers outside at the expense of the atmosphere inside. but I do love the plants.criticisms:*I wish we got larger sauces.*Broke a couple of the plastic utensils trying to carve the chicken.*Price for a beer seems a little high if you want to incentivize people to come and sit down.
I don't say this lightly - this is some of the best chicken in the county. The fact that this place isn't packed 24/7 is a crime. The staff is friendly and warm, and the food it to die for. Get the yucca frites, dip it in their yellow sauce, and thank me later.
I don’t know how this place doesn’t have a line out the door all the time. I’ve waited to write this review for a whole year to make sure we didn’t have a fluke experience, or it wasn’t just good because it was a new place. This is easily the best Peruvian chicken place in the DMV. My wife and I have tried probably 15+ places, and this place is the best. 1) it’s always extremely clean. 2) the (assumed) owner is super nice. It’s always the same older gentlemen at the register with a goatee. 3) the food is ALWAYS fresh. We’ve came early, late, in between lunch and dinner hours, it doesn’t matter. Our fries and plantains are always piping hot, and the plantains are always cooked PERFECTLY. The chicken is always moist and tender. The chicken also tastes different and better here - it is marketed as charcoal chicken, and you can taste that. It has that “summer bbq cooked on a charcoal Webber grill” taste, unlike some other places that taste like a gas grill.I personally don’t care for the Peruvian style sauces, but my wife loves them. They offer the 3 selections, a yellow, orange, and green, with no spice to pretty spicy.Highly recommend!
great chicken and all the sides we've tried are really good. so many chicken places have mediocre sides, but this place seems to take pride in all their menu options. quick service too.
Brought the kids, six and four and they LOVED it. Place is delicious, clean, and service was spectacular. Our kids were curious about the kitchen so they showed them the ovens and gave them balloons. Fun place with great food.
